Lawmakers gave Americans a big Christmas present this year by delivering the biggest tax cut in a generation, and the biggest small business tax cut in the nation’s history. For the average American this means more money, more opportunity, and a better economy.
The tax cut will allow ordinary Americans to keep more of their hard-earned money by doubling the zero tax bracket, doubling the standard deduction, and cutting rates across-the-board. The tax cut also creates a new 20 percent tax deduction for small businesses, the backbone of the American economy, allowing them to keep more of what they earn to better compete against their international and big business counterparts.
The tax cuts have passed and now it’s time for small businesses and their employees to reap the rewards.
